NYFW 2024 | WHAT I WORE IN NEW YORK CITY

New York Fashion Week is in full swing, it was a whirlwind trip and I’m so happy to have a full recap of outfits that I wore. This is probably the most casual-laidback New York Fashion Week post you will come across. I was so comfortable running around the city; I regret nothing, LOL. I thought the weather was beautiful, I’m in Texas where we are still getting such hot days, so I appreciated the cool nights and low humidity.

Walmart & Brandon Maxwell (the creative director for Walmart) invited me to his designer fashion show for the first day of New York Fashion Week! It was stunning, you can read more about it HERE. Then, Walmart had a pop-up shop right next door to preview the Free Assembly and Scoop lines.๐Ÿ˜Š

The Walmart Pop-Up Shop in NYC was such a fun time! It was amazing to see them right in the heart of New York City, representing fashion in such an inclusive way. Walmart is having experiences like this all over the country this fall. Check it out HERE to see if there is one in your city.

Outfit Details: Blue Mock Neck Sweater (size small, fits relaxed), Light Wash Jeans (size 27, fits baggy), Tan Slide Sandals (runs tts), Taupe Hobo Bag, Hoop Earrings

This periwinkle blue sweater is so good! Super soft, just the right amount of mock neck and I love the detail in the slit sleeve cuff for a little something extra. Priced right for under $30, you will be wearing it all season long.

Outfit details: Gray Cardigan (s), White Tank (s), Dark Wash Wide Leg Jeans (size 4) similar Jeans (budget), Maroon Booties (runs tts), Woven Handbag, Initial Necklace

Grandpa cardigan in all the right ways. Fits oversized (wearing a small) and has some bum coverage. For my climate, this and a tank top will take me right into cooler weather. It also comes in a terrific brown and black, $26.

Outfit Details: Black Bomber Jacket (s)(looks distressed), Bodysuit (s-fitted), Black Wide Leg Jeans (size 4, relaxed fit), Buckle Booties (tts), Black Handbag, Belt

I love an all-black outfit. I think it looks good on all body types and most of us feel confident in the color. Scoop did a fantastic faux leather bomber jacket (looks slightly distressed) that could be worn with your favorite jeans, trousers, and even a slip dress.

Outfit Details: Long Faux Leather Trench Coat (s-fits tts) | Brown Tank (s-fitted)| Sunglasses | Barrel Jeans (luxe, size 27) similar Barrel Jeans (budget) | Necklace | Patchwork Coach bag is vintage (my grandmother’s) and the shoes are last year’s Scoop heel (here is this year’s kitten heel)

It was such a warm day, but I had to wear this long faux leather trench; I just loved it. Fully lined with a matching belt. I liked it equally with an open front or tied at the waist. Such a great color, too; looks so fall๐Ÿ‚ IMO. Also comes in black.

Outfit Details: Denim Shirt (s-oversized fit) alternate similar Denim Shirt (more styles linked below) | Cropped Tank | Drawstring Cargo Pants | Black Tote | Black Slides

Other Denim Shirts

Run and grab these trousers. They have cargo pockets with a drawstring waist. I bought them in a few colors. Some of the colors come in 3 different in-seams! 29-31 and 33. I’m wearing the 29 here, perfect for a flat slide (I’m 5’2″), but it would be a little short for a platform sneaker, I think.

Outfit Details: Mock Neck Tank | Bomber Jacket | Leopard Pants (luxe from Amazon, other retailer here) Leopard Pants (budget friendly) other Walmart Leopard Pants | Merlot Coach Bag (sold out-other sizes below that may be in stock) similar Bag style | Bag Charm (luxe) Bag Charm (budget) similar Bag Charm | Red Kitten Heel (luxe) similar Kitten Heel (budget)

My favorite color of the season and I think Scoop and Walmart did it the best (including luxury designers). It is so good, I normally don’t gravitate to red but it is pulling me in. You will be seeing me in a lot of it this season, along with my new viral Coach bagโค๏ธ (the Empire in 40). That size is currently sold out, a few sizes are still available (including on Amazon). We sourced them below.

That’s a wrap on the trip, I loved having a chance to break out a few fall outfits and wear them out in the wild๐Ÿ˜Ž
