Dressing in a monochromatic outfit is the easiest way to look more put together, expensive, and help solve some of the headache of what to wear. Scroll to see some of the colors to try out for fall! If you haven’t seen my latest YouTube video, scroll to the bottom of this post to check out how I styled these colors.

An all-black outfit is the easiest way to achieve the look and something we have in our closet. To make it a bit more chic, try a white fitted tee underneath a sweater.

A matching set is also an easy way to get the look, but elevate your loungewear or favorite sweatpants by adding a sweater or cardigan instead of the typical zip-up jacket.

Burgundy is always popular in the fall, but this year it includes wine, plum hues and deep reds. I love it, don’t have a burgundy shoe? Choose something in the same color family, like these chocolate brown sneakers, it will tie back nicely with the burgundy.

Navy. Maybe my favorite color this season. I’m using it in place of black and I think it looks so fresh. Try your outfit with a navy overcoat or trench this fall.

Faded shades of blue look fantastic with your lighter wash denim this fall. I love it for winter too. So simple to pair your coziest sweater in light blue with your most-worn jeans. The navy sneakers below are under $20 right now. So good!

Gray, it’s a classic. Try layering up with different shades to keep it interesting and swap out your gold jewelry for silver. For accessories, try a metallic shoe or handbag.

It’s dill, it’s olive, it’s sage. I’m seeing a lot of everything when it comes to green. I like to pair camel or cognac back to greens when I don’t have the color I need to complete an outfit.

Chocolate brown. Looks expensive and we are seeing it everywhere. Coated denim, suede pants, wool trousers, all in those dark shades that just work. This is an easy one to pair with your favorite brown bag and shoes.

Close your eyes and this is that PSL in a color. I layered up with a cardigan under that dreamy cashmere crewneck from Quince. It’s a 10/10. Pair it back with chocolate brown or black for your accessories.

Surprisingly, but really not, butter yellows as well as mustard are trending for fall. We saw so much of it over the last several months and I’m happy it’s still with us. Try yellow denim jeans if you shy away from colored pants. Not monochromatic at all, but I love how the yellow looks with burgundy.

Last up, pink. A year round wear for me for sure. I think it can look so good around the holidays too. Consider the light pink more of a neutral and pair it back with anything you would wear with cream or ivory.
